girldumas:

actually i do think Wuthering Heights is a love story.

like in one way or another it all comes back to love and hatred, which more often than not in literature are simply two faces of the same medal.

sure it’s twisted, sick, and unhealthy, but it’s still love and just because it doesn’t give you warm fuzzy feelings doesn’t mean it should be dismissed.

i think y'all just need to change your definition of the words “love story”.

i love how nobody can see it but when you fully engage with a good story it’s like. it goes Inside you now and forever onwards. your body is a tree and every beautiful artwork that has meant something to you is a fruit growing on that tree that you can return to eat again and again, because that fruit only grows back again and again. in a way, a story rewards you for holding it as you engage with it by sticking around with you for as long as you let it.
